About the Team
We're looking for a communications professional to join our Global Trust and Safety Communications team. The team works across both Global Comms, Global CSR an Global Marketing to provide strategic, operational, and administrative support.
About the Role
In this role, you'll play a part in helping to tell the story of how TikTok continues to create positive and safe experiences for our community. This is an opportunity to learn and grow your communications skills as you focus on strengthening TikTok's brand in the US.
Responsibilities
- Create blog posts, media pitches, social media copy, and launch materials to amplify announcements and initiatives, working closely with global subject matter experts on strategic positioning

- Work collaboratively with Public Policy, Trust and Safety Outreach & Partnerships, Law Enforcement Outreach, and other teams to find proactive opportunities for positive storytelling about TikTok's trust and safety efforts
- Draft materials that help reach a variety of audiences, including fact sheets, talking points and bios
- Help train and advise spokespeople in preparation for media interviews, press conferences, and presentations
- Travel as needed to support the team and be willing to work flexible hours when needed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Have a proven track record of writing to a high standard and should thrive when collaborating with colleagues based around the world
- Work well under pressure, be self-motivated, and able to respond to and collaborate on a range of situations with empathy and a people-first mindset
- Be naturally passionate about the technology and entertainment sector. You're a strategic thinker as well as a practical doer, comfortable with rolling up your sleeves to get things done
- Have an understanding of U.S. media outlets, with an emphasis on consumer and tech reporters and coverage
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Communications, Public Policy or other related fields
- An adaptable, proactive, enthusiastic, and results-oriented working style and approach is essential. You don't just 'get the job done', you take initiative and think about how you can add more value to go beyond the brief
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills
- A highly analytical mindset, with qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly and flexibly to change
- Able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
