Responsibilities
The Trust & Safety Policy team develops and reviews our community policies to promote a positive and safe environment for all of our users and content creators to enjoy and express themselves.
Within Trust & Safety, the Outreach and Partnerships Management (OPM) team builds and leverages relationships with external stakeholders, including experts, NGOs, academics and researchers, that drive safety improvements and build trust in the platform.
As the Global Programs Lead within the T&S Outreach & Partnerships team, you will be responsible for leading and driving the success of key OPM initiatives. Working in partnership with the Global Head of OPM, you will support the internal coordination of OPM across our three regions, and work across issue verticals to implement our strategy for a set of global programs. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the team's strategy and executing objectives through complex project management, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision making.

The Global Programs Lead will be a skillful problem-solver with strong organizational skills given the evolving needs of the team. You will serve as a cross-functional ambassador, demonstrating proficiency in constituent outreach, building partnerships, and creating forums to inform policies, processes, and internal training.
Responsibilities
- Day to day management of a team of high-performers who bring distinct expertise across various project and program management areas of focus.
- Drive the long-term strategy and roadmap for the OPM Global Programs team.
- Lead global strategy and coordination for a set of OPM programs, including Safety Advisory Councils, Transparency & Accountability Centers, and the Community Partner Channel.
- Partner with OPM regional leads and with other cross-functional teams to help infuse external perspectives into company policy, product, and feature development.
- Support OPM's partnerships with external organizations as needed.
- Help to define new operational strategies and opportunities, working with the Global Head of OPM on special projects.
- Support the development of annual strategic planning and managing the OPM budget.
- Plan and execute global offsites and other team events.
- Build and develop relationships with all OPM colleagues and key XFN partners for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations.
- Occasional international travel to meet global stakeholders
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in program and project management, partnerships, communications, or consulting
- 3+ years of people management with exceptional EQ
- Excellent communicator in written and verbal form across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives with a focus on project/program management
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically, and to thrive in a fast-paced global environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as policy, legal, operations, global business, and product
- Understanding of technology, social media, and/or platform content issues, including online harms and policy development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comfort with data, research, and academic disciplines
- Project management certification
- Experience with budget management
