About the Team
SoundOn is an all-in-one platform powered by TikTok, designed to better service music creators through each step of their career - from TikTok integrated promotion tools to universal music distribution, from diverse monetization opportunities to smart music creation. SoundOn exists to give every music creator & label the power to authentically connect with new audiences and "do music" their way.
Responsibilities:
- Develop playlist pitching strategies to build audiences and drive streams for artists on streaming platforms.
- Work with internal teams like artist partnership team, A&R team to design pitch material to share with streaming partners in advance.
- Communicate regularly with streaming partners and agencies to maximize exposure for new releases and emerging opportunities.

- Explore partnership opportunities with digital streaming platforms (Spotify, YouTube, etc.) that can benefit us with more DSP market share to enhance our off-ByteDance promotion capability.
- Identify and drive co-promotion or cross-promotion opportunities with internal and external partners (like radio, SubmitHub, etc).
- Manage DSP and partnership resources and express them structurally to help Artist Partnership secure artist signings.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required. Over 5-years Music industry experience in the streaming platform/ playlist field
- Have strong relationships with key streaming platform partners
- Capable of working collaboratively with cross functional teams
- Good song analysis skills to analyze in-ByteDance growth and competitive data to identify opportunities for pitching
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong music analysis skills and able to utilize data to identify platform growth opportunities.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $90000 - $150000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
