About the team
The success of TikTok's data business model hinges on the supply of a large volume of high quality labeled data that will grow exponentially as our business scales up. However, the current cost of data labeling is excessively high. The Data Solutions team is built to understand data strategically at scale for all Global Business Solution (GBS) business needs. Data Solutions Team uses quantitative and qualitative data to guide and uncover insights, turning our findings into real products to power exponential growth. Data Solutions Team responsibility includes infrastructure construction, recognition capabilities management, global labeling delivery management.
About the role
We are looking for a senior level product manager to build a platform in order to power the monetization business with unstructured data. The end-to-end product will need to drive the scaling of data labelling / annotation through automated processes and deliver significant measurable impact with the least possible cost (labelling productivity and efficiency).
Responsibility
As a product owner, what you will do
- Develop and implement the product strategy and roadmap
- Conduct market research, competitor studies, and gather customer feedback and translate them into product design
- Define and prioritize product features based on business goals and customer needs, design screen mockups through figma, deliver PRDs that illustrate design clearly, present with developers.
- Conduct user acceptance test
- Monitor product performance and iterate based on user feedback and market trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing development
What you will need
- Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to develop long-term product vision and roadmap and translate into executable deliverables and milestones.
- Knowledge and passion for technical and platform product management experiences
- Excellent customer-facing written and verbal communication and presentation to stakeholders and executives
- Excellent organisational and collaboration skills, particularly the ability to handle multiple priorities, stakeholders and workstreams
- Ability to influence & guide cross-functional teams without authority (e.g. Engineering, UX/UI, Program Management etc.)
- Familiar with agile / waterfall delivery methodologies
- Familiar with PRD elements (e.g. wireframes, figma, swimlane diagram, sequence diagram etc.)
- Familiar with API design, SQL, python is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelors / Master's degree in related business or technical field, or equivalent (preferably in Computer Science)
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Experience in driving elements of product development life cycle from vision to execution (i.e., product vision, GTM strategy, driving requirements and product launch)
- Experience working on large-scale platforms to drive growth, retention, and engagement initiatives for cloud/enterprise and/or developer areas
- Proficient English and working language level Mandarin skills to deal with local clients in China
