Team Intro
As the Contracts and Compliance Manager/Specialist within the TikTok USDS Legal & Compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in helping to ensure compliance with legal and company policies, assisting with the execution of contracts, managing day-to-day operations, and fostering effective communication across the organization. Under the general supervision of the team's attorneys, you will also be responsible for facilitating decision-making processes and driving efficiency and effectiveness; turning complex challenges into action in a fast-moving environment. This role is an instrumental part of our team focused on managing and streamlining the company's contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting cross-functional teams in negotiating and executing commercial agreements.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts, NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, and other commercial legal terms.
- Maintain and improve contract management processes, tools, and systems to increase efficiency and reduce risk, including developing and implementing playbooks and templates to improve contract workflows.
- Flag key issues for attorney review when needed, conduct legal and benchmark research that may be relevant to projects, and assist with the preparation of presentation and training materials for legal leadership and business partners.
- Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators, and pull data to perform analyses.
- Provide guidance on contractual obligations, risks, and business terms to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners across the organization.
- Analyze complex legal issues and provide well-founded recommendations to the legal team and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Track key contract terms, obligations, and expiration dates to support ongoing business operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- 3+ years of contract and compliance management experience in-house or in a large law firm.
- Strong understanding of commercial contract terms, including licensing, limitations of liability, indemnity, and confidentiality provisions.
- BA/BS or Paralegal Certificate.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, managing projects with competing timelines.
- A background with tech or media companies, and data security compliance.
- Experience with contract management software and workflow tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to own a process from end to end with minimal supervision with a proven ability to handle a varied workload and prioritize as needed.
- A strong bias for action and partnering with business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with technology and comfortable learning new technology.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $88000 - $151111 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
