Global e-commerce is a content e-commerce business with international short video product as the carrier. It is committed to becoming the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products with affordable prices. Global e-commerce business team hopes to provide users with more tailored and efficient consumption experience, enabling merchants to receive reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live e-commerce, short video content e-commerce, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach.
The e-commerce Risk Control team is dedicated to protect TikTok Shop from fraudulent activities and user abuses, ensuring a trustworthy and user-friendly marketplace for buyers, sellers, and creators. As a global team, we are developing and managing foundational platforms including the risk decision engine, enforcement framework, and model & graph platforms. These systems are tackling some of the highest throughput challenges across TikTok E-commerce. In the US, our team collaborates closely with product, data, and operations teams to address challenging fraud attacks, enhance platform capabilities, and develop features to ensure efficient deliveries of risk events, strategies, and enforcements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain a highly scalable, reliable and efficient risk control solution for US TikTok Shop.
- Work closely with the US product, data, and operations teams to develop features and enhance platform capabilities. Mitigate fraud attacks and user abuses efficiently.
- Develop best-in-class real-time computing, high concurrency and high scalability engineering practices across all product engineering disciplines.
- Provide prompt and efficient support for managing risk-related issues within the US region, ensuring quick and effective risk mitigation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Solid problem-solving skills and strong software programming capabilities, exhibits good code design and coding style.
- Deep understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security and highly scalable systems design.
- Ability to provide elegant and efficient design solutions
- In-depth knowledge of common databases and messaging frameworks like MySQL/Redis/Kafka/MQ etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java/Golang/Python.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129200 - $194750 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
