About the Team
The USDS Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) team executes various AML functions, including investigations of transaction monitoring alerts; investigations of suspected money laundering, financial crime, and scam/fraud activity from internal and external partners; KYC/CDD/EDD reviews; and other related duties. This role will oversee the management, development, and enhancement of compliance products within the FCC department, serving as the bridge between the operations team and engineering team to support business needs.
About the Role
The AML Compliance Product Manager will play a pivotal role in optimizing and managing a suite of compliance products within the Financial Crimes Compliance function. This position involves overseeing the development and enhancement of platforms and tools to enable operations, advance risk detection, and support compliance requirements. The Product Manager will work closely with both the operations and engineering teams to bridge gaps, ensuring seamless product functionality and alignment with business needs and compliance goals.
This role will be responsible for conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), managing cosmetic and functional updates, and owning Business and Product Requirements Documents (BRDs/PRDs) for multiple products. The role will also establish metrics to monitor product performance, assess existing tools, and identify opportunities for improvements.
To enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
Responsibilities
- Oversee full lifecycle of compliance products, including in-depth requirements analysis, roadmap planning, technical specification/design, user acceptance testing, and deployment across FCC. Define and monitor performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align solutions with business and operational needs to enhance overall operations and risk mitigation capabilities.
- Drive the integration of advanced technologies, including machine learning, AI-driven rule engines, and automated decision-making frameworks to enhance real-time detection and response capabilities.
- Conduct in-depth code and architecture reviews to ensure adherence to compliance protocols, optimization for scalability, and collaborate with teams to troubleshoot, refine workflows, and validate technical feasibility at every phase of development.
- Perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably for consumer-facing or compliance-related products.
- Demonstrated success in leading product initiatives in fast-paced environments, with a strong ability to drive results.
- Strong analytical capabilities to leverage data for informed product decisions and continuous improvement.
- Ability to translate and document business, operational, and regulatory requirements into technical requirements; liaison between teams requesting and developing products; managing development milestones and timelines; oversee deployment of products; and manage products after go-live.
- Proven ability to thrive in a high-tempo environment and effectively manage day-to-day challenges with resilience.
- Strong written/verbal communication, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, multi-tasking capability, team-oriented, and a self-starter, with the ability to work effectively across broad teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth familiarity with compliance systems and products used in the financial services and fintech sector, including experience implementing solutions that meet U.S. regulatory and compliance expectations.
- Advanced understanding of BSA/AML and OFAC requirements and regulatory obligations and their implications for fintech, ecommerce, and payments, with involvement in compliance programs tailored to these requirements.
- Experience in managing projects with cross-functional teams across different time zones and cultures, demonstrating the ability to navigate diverse environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in compliance activities.
- Highly-motivated, analytical, organized, innovative, and adaptive.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $165120 - $311600 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
