About the Team
Eco-Operations, one of the essential pillars of ADSEO, plays a significant role in TikTok's content understanding system by focusing on content categorization across both video and account dimensions. This work supports intelligent recommendation algorithms aimed at enhancing content ecosystem diversification across various ByteDance products. The team is vital in conducting audits, identifying errors, and swiftly addressing them to BPO sites, ensuring the maintenance of high-quality content within the ecosystem.
Content that Eco Quality Assurance includes images, video, text related to every day life, but they can also include (but are not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.
Responsibilities
- Monitor project operations through data analysis and generate reports for global alignment. Key tasks include QA, coaching, training, and calibrating BPO labelers, as well as handling ad-hoc tasks from the project POC. All labelers are BPO-sourced.
- Assist the team leader in overseeing the content ecosystem, collaborating with Product Owners to implement projects and manage training to achieve goals.
- Proactively collaborate with cross-functional departments for project evaluation, resources coordination and subsequent work.
- Regularly track and review project's progress and performance to continuously improve its workflow and stability.
Daily Routine Tasks :
- Conduct daily sampling tasks for audit purposes, focusing on content that has been labeled by the BPO team
- Communicate with stakeholders, including demand sides (RD/PM/OP), GPM, and BPO vendors
- Design/help to design a training plan and implement it according to the timeline
- Monitor the daily data including productivity and quality
- Help to address the platform issues
- Optimize labeling guidelines with detailed examples to help labelers better understand ambiguous content, leading to improved quality
- Prepare weekly reports and meetings. Identify abnormal data, gather RCA, and develop action plans
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma degree or above, short video product user.
- Excellent English proficiency, overseas working/ training is a plus.
- Content moderation experience required, at least 1 to 2 years experience
- Previous QA experience is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
- Possess strong learning ability, team management skills and cross-department communication.
- Able to work under minimal supervision and have strong logic/ common sense related to job nature.
- Familiar with office software such as Excel, Word, etc. With data processing experience and other data analysis capabilities are preferred.
- Comfortable with and understanding that the job requires reviewing internet content that may be deemed inappropriate and / or contain explicit materials
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
