Tax Accountant I
Organizes and analyzes tax forms for filing in accordance with regulations and as directed by management.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Researching and monitoring appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations.


• Preparing appropriate tax forms and instruments for filing with federal, state and local jurisdictions.


• Helping other business units stay informed about tax implications of their operation.


• Compiling and analyzing tax data and providing reports to management.

• Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

This position can be located in either Charlotte, NC or New York, NY.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Masters of Science in Taxation
• Strong proficiency in Excel and data analytics using Tableau, Power BI
• Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, have a positive work ethic, and be comfortable working in a fast paced, demanding environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to work as an effective team player, and ability to collaborate across functions and businesses
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• A sense of urgency, results orientated and thoughtful execution skills

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
