Tech Lead Infrastructure
TIAA is seeking a Lead IT Business Management Analyst. This position will report into the Strategy and Business Effectiveness team supporting the Chief Technology Officer of TIAA leading Global Infrastructure Services. The Lead Business Management Analyst will ensure that the day-to-day operating activities involved in “running IT as a business” are optimized and cost effective to support sound decision making. While focusing on high level projects, this job executes strategic business management consulting to leaders by analyzing metrics and presentations to support business strategies, driving business management policies and routines, and being the central point of contact for leaders in the execution of business management tasks. This job is considered a subject matter expert in the Business Management area.

Dimensions of business management include (but are not limited to) financial oversight and control, portfolio management, business performance measurement, process management, IT governance, communication and human capital management. Business Management Analyst support the day-to-day execution of moderately complex business planning activities in one or more business management dimensions for an assigned technology area. Deliverables and schedules may be influenced by other functional areas (e.g., Finance, Risk).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
For selected business management dimensions within a technology area:
Partner with other business owners and senior leaders across the various organizations to ensure deliverables, data, reports, metrics and special requests are met appropriately and timely for executive materials for operational reviews, business reviews and board reviews as needed
Develop / create artifacts that convey clear and crisp messages utilizing analytical skills, analysis, and in some cases be asked to proactively identify connection points across projects and businesses as well as engage in the execution of the problem
Collaborate with data providers to improve accuracy and/or timeliness of information delivery.
Monitor and track risks, issues and action items to ensure accountability, follow through and resolution as per prescribed commitments.
Assess delivery and operational processes for improvement.

Required Skills:
- 5 or more years working in a business management capacity
- Experience working in the Financial Services industry
- 5 or more years working in a Management consulting capacity
Desired Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with IT management systems (Hyperion, Clarity, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence)
- Demonstrated experience with organizing, directing, and managing the activities of multiple projects ranging from small to large in complexity in scope
- Experience with the following requirements models: Stakeholder Categories, Actor Tables, Glossary, Context Diagram, Data Model, Class Model, Data Dictionary, Event Response Tables, State Diagrams, Business Rules, Decision Tables, Process Maps, Use Cases, and Activity Diagrams
- Bachelor’s degree
Potential Salary: $130,800.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
