We are seeking an Investment Analyst to work on our Growth Capital strategy, Winslow’s strategy that invests in privately held growth companies. Winslow has expanded its Growth Capital strategy as the universe of investible, private, growth companies has grown dramatically. We will need additional resources as we expand further.

This Investment Analyst will assist the Strategy’s Lead Portfolio Manager and other team members in sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities and managing current investments. We are also looking to build the next generation of leadership in our firm; the candidate could have a long-term opportunity to become a Portfolio Manager.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The Analyst will support the lead Portfolio Manager and entire team in making investment decisions and updating investment theses on current holdings.
Collect, organize and analyze industry and company-specific data sourced through various channels, including third-party research firms, interviews with industry sources, databases, trade publications and online sources.
Use above-mentioned data to develop and inform the team’s perspective on the investment appeal of an industry and a specific company; this will include developing perspectives on industry size, industry competitive dynamics, companies’ value propositions, and companies’ management teams, among many other factors.
Conduct fundamental analysis on potential and current investments by, among other things, modelling (including projecting) companies’ income statement, cash flows and balance sheets in Excel.
Conduct valuation analysis that will inform conclusions about potential and current investments‘ potential returns. Such analysis may include discounted cash flow analysis and comparable company analysis, among others.
Conduct various administrative duties that are critical to the team, including updating databases in a timely and accurate manner and sending emails to key constituents.
Write extensively, at times, to assist in producing quarterly valuation updates, client letters, and various other important communications. Strong writing skills are, therefore, important.
Periodically attend conferences (when public health conditions permit safely doing so) and other industry events to represent Winslow and, potentially, meet and evaluate private companies that may become investment opportunities.
Work closely with all members of the investment team; interact with members of investment community and senior executives of prospective portfolio companies.

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as an investment bank analyst, junior analyst at a sell side or buy side firm, or junior team member at a venture capital firm required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an investment bank analyst, junior analyst at a sell side or buy side firm, or junior team member at a venture capital firm preferred
- Advanced degrees (e.g. MBA) and/or professional designations (e.g. CFA)
- Proficient in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Excellent writing skills
- Financial modelling expertise
- Valuation modelling expertise
- FactSet experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
Potential Salary: $150,000.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
