Internal Control Analyst

The Internal Control Analyst is responsible for identifying weaknesses in the organization's work processes and implementing methods to minimize risk within the finance business entity. Under close supervision, this entry level position applies broad theoretical job knowledge to tasks such as processing incident reports, maintaining records for work processes and providing technical guidance to personnel.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports the financial control team’s work processes by implementing methods to minimize risk.

  • Assists in writing incident reports and maintaining records for financial work processes.

  • Contributes to helping in the management of the operational strategy for work for work process improvements and informing personnel of changes that were made within the financial department.

  • Helps perform analysis to identify issues and create and implement solutions.

  • Reviews change requests, projects plans and assists in providing recommendations on improvements.

  • Supports the internal control team by producing and communicating reports to organizational management.

  • Assists in collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders, such as quality assurance and outside auditors for organizational policies and industry specific regulations and policies.
