The Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO) Strategic Partner Sales - National Accounts job sells in-plan annuity solutions to retirement plan intermediaries including, but not limited to, broker-dealers, Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) aggregators, consultants, record keepers and managed account providers. Under limited supervision, this job maintains up-to-date DCIO knowledge and leverages experience in the retirement plan investment business, along with best practices and established sales tools, to meet DCIO sales goals.

Builds and maintains strong partnerships with key decision makers including senior management across assigned list of retirement intermediaries.

Works closely with clients or their advisers to define client goals, address concerns and to plan DCIO sales approach.
Tracks prospects through a sales process using the organization's internal Customer Relationship Management platform.
Coordinates all marketing, supporting wholesaling efforts, and serves as the primary problem solver for more complex issues.
Leverage TIAA and Nuveen resources as needed (e.g., Investments, Product Specialists, etc.)
Coordinate field sales/service activities with Nuveen DCIO and Retail wholesalers and TIAA 403b sales and consultant relations teams
Provides regular DCIO Sales pipeline updates capturing prospecting and sales activity to management team.
Maintains updated DCIO knowledge and provides experience in the retirement plan investment business to help clients realize investment goals.
Works with platform gatekeepers and investment due diligence teams to win fund and sub-advised mandates as well as recommended fund lists.
Serves as a point of accountability to increase the organization's revenue for assigned client list, addressing issues and obstacles, framing solutions, and informing senior management of critical requirements.

Preferred Experience

Bachelor’s degree
MBA, CIMA, CPWM, CAIA or CFA preferred
Life and Health License (may be attained in role)
Demonstrated long-term productive relationships with top retirement advisors and consultants
Strong knowledge of DC plan distribution and ERISA regulation
Extensive background in financial services & mutual fund industry knowledge
Enhanced problem solving and analytical abilities, and familiarity with investment strategies and concepts
Excellent oral, written, and one-on-one and group presentation skills
Informed and conversant across a broad range of current and emerging topics in the DC/DCIO space
Demonstrated strength building client-focused relationships
Potential Salary: $123,200.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
