This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role is located onsite at our TIAA office in Virtual, NC, USA but will currently be remote.

The Info Systems Analyst designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Formulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
- Formulating and defining the system scope and objectives, based on user needs and business processes.
- Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
- Directing business process improvement projects for internal business groups, aiming to improve business results.
- Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
- Identifying and documenting all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
- Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
- Providing recommendations for addressing and resolving business issues, for a specific business group.
- Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
- Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
- Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.

User Experience / UX Researcher
As a UX Researcher/Analyst, you will utilize usability tools and research methods to provide actionable insights that drive future design improvements. You will work to improve the usability, usefulness, and desirability of web sites and applications in collaboration with requirements, fellow researchers, designers, content specialists and front-end developers.
You should be extremely collaborative with a high degree of social savvy, professionalism, and empathy for the customer. You are detail-oriented but also able to extrapolate data and connect the dots into a big picture that will ultimately change a website, mobile experience or software design to make in more consumer-friendly.
We're looking for a User Experience Researcher who can:
Support design partners with data-backed insights and recommendations.
Use a variety of remote and face-to-face research methods, such as moderated and un-moderated testing, benchmarking, card sorting, interviews, and surveys - and recommend the right methods for each teams’ needs.
Evaluate, learn and evangelize new methods to team members
Operate in a highly dynamic environment, navigate ambiguity and tackle complex problems
Share their knowledge of the psychology behind brand engagement
Can clearly define and passionately advocate for customer needs
Expected Contributions to the Team:
Work collaboratively with the designers, product and marketing managers, data analysts and engineering teams responsible for the TIAA experience, so they can make confident, informed choices about design strategy.
Review, analyze and produce key highlights and detailed analysis of user testing sessions, surveys, competitive research, Voice-of-Customer (VOC) data, analytics
Support other researchers with analysis, documentation, stimuli creation, etc.
Write, launch and analyze surveys and remote, unmoderated user testing
Review, index, analyze and reorganize previous user research
Review, select and present representative video clips of recorded user sessions
Proactively identify methods and solutions for how to improve the usability of business applications
Excellent writing and communications skills
Solid organization, project management and planning skills with web application implementations
Should be self-directed with effective time management skills
Proven ability and desire to work effectively as a member of a team
Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience in product research and usability research, preferably supporting a design team for a commercial B2B, B2C, SaaS or mobile product experience.
A portfolio of work samples showing how you have executed qualitative and quantitative user research methods, and demonstrating the impact of your research on the customer or user experience.
Preferred Qualifications
A human-centric approach to research, and the ability to be highly organized, creative and empathetic.
Familiarity with brand research methods, usability evaluations, sampling theory and validity in research design.
Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills that let you illustrate and share study plans, findings and insights creatively and persuasively.
The flexibility to meet remotely with teammates and customers in different time zones, and occasionally travel to meet them in person.
Education
BA/BS or MA/MS in behavioral science or closely related discipline
Qualifying fields include but are not limited to: Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology (Cognitive or Experimental), Interface Design, or Computer Science
