We're looking for an energetic, driven individual to join our Facilities team as a Junior Barista and Facilities Assistant. If you have experience working in a customer-facing role and are now seeking a full-time position, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Some barista experience is a plus, but it's not essential - we'll provide all the training you need.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages (don't worry, we'll teach you everything you need to know!).
  • Operate and maintain coffee equipment, performing regular cleaning and basic troubleshooting as needed.
  • Manage inventory levels of coffee supplies, ensuring orders are made in a timely fashion, with a focus on cost reduction.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment by following health and safety guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with current coffee trends, brewing techniques, and the latest equipment to continuously improve beverage quality.
  • Provide friendly, efficient service to employees, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure smooth operations, proactively enhancing the employee and visitor experience.
  • Support reception duties, including logging parcels, activating/deactivating pass cards, maintaining documentation, and welcoming visitors.
  • Monitor and respond to Facilities Jira tickets, driving tasks through to resolution.
  • Assist with setting up the main events space, 'Think Tank', and terraces for special events.
  • Collaborate with team members to host coffee-related events or workshops that enhance the workplace experience.
  • Ensure fridges, snack/coffee stations, and stationery cupboards are fully stocked.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment, always ready to lend a hand with various tasks.

Requirements

Essential

  • Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic - we're looking for someone ready to learn and get involved.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Some experience working in a customer-facing role.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, including coffee brewing and facilities management.
  • Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality service.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts across both Barista and Facilities roles.
  • Basic computer skills.

This role is paying £27,352-£29,000.
