The Vice President, Payment Operations, will play a pivotal role in leading and oversee payment operations, ensuring smooth and compliant processes, managing teams, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.

About The Role

In this opportunity as a Vice President - Payment Operations, you will:

  • Ensure a structure is in place to drive improvements in business performance through the provision of high quality performance management, insight and analysis.
  • Challenge and influence senior business management to maximize their own business performance.
  • Lead and inspire a team of Heads of Finance and Business Support Managers and ensure their development potential is realized.
  • Ensure an efficient and value adding structure exists for budgeting and forecasts.
  • Prepare strategic and business plans for business management.
  • Lead business management through the investment planning and appraisal process.
  • Manage delivery of valuable insights and analysis from direct reports to support business decisions.
  • Deliver presentations/briefing papers to regional, divisional and global management.
  • Ensure compliance with Thomson Reuters policies and procedures, e.g. SOX and Audit.
  • Work closely with the Services Centre and Group Finance on operational issues and ad hoc queries.
  • Manage the supply of corporate provided services (tax, property, group finance etc.) to the business area.
  • Provide input to ad hoc projects within Finance and the business as required.

About You

You are fit for the role of Vice President, Payment Operations if you background includes:

  • 18 - 20 years of experience in managing, mentoring a team of payment operations professionals.
  • Expertise in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in payment operations.
  • Leading the end-to-end payment processing lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulations.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to payment operations and also identify, assess & mitigate operational risks associated with payment operations.
  • Implementing and maintaining strong controls and governance frameworks for payment operations.
  • Managed Executive level stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Able to handle complex problem solving, thinking out of the box and the ability to work through interwoven dependencies and structures. Able to influence at all levels of the organization without authority.
  • Change management and accomplished written and verbal communications experience.
