Pricing Manager

As a Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the successful design and development of Thomson Reuters pricing approach across our product portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for both leading & supporting the development of pricing strategies, focusing on creation of new and innovative pricing models, setting price levels and structuring pricing packages. You will also continuously assess pricing needs of TR's segments, define opportunities for pricing improvement, conduct customer segmentation, perform market analysis, develop financial models to support overall go-to-market strategies. You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the creation of a Pricing Centre of Excellence (CoE) which will be responsible for developing high impact value-based pricing strategies and frameworks to drive business revenue and margin growth across the customer lifecycle. The Pricing Manager will partner closely with TR's business segments, Commercial Excellence teams and Finance to ensure we effectively implement our pricing strategies and identify metrics to determine performance of pricing changes.

About The Role

In this opportunity as Pricing Manager, you will:

  • Develop new and improve on existing pricing strategies, working collaboratively across Product, Finance and GTM teams to align priorities and revenue goals
  • Conduct pricing analyses to inform pricing strategy for new, renew and upsell/cross-sell offerings
  • Create models to assess price elasticity, feature/price trade-offs, and identify opportunities to optimize pricing to increase profitability
  • Responsible for the creation of price books and discount guidelines and ensure these are designed effectively to deliver simplification and standardization. Partner with commercial excellence teams to design system updates and automated quoting capabilities for the channel
  • Set annual price increases, manage discounting guidelines and set governance frameworks across products
  • Pricing support for strategic projects including pricing refresh, new product & proposition launches
  • Provide objective analysis on the impact of pricing decisions and collaborate across functions to design and develop pricing metrics to measure performance

About You

You're a fit for the role of Pricing Manager if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree required, CPA preferred
  • Experienced B2B pricing manager with 2+ years of Software or SaaS pricing experience
  • Experienced in setting strategic and tactical pricing to drive performance in technology intensive industries
  • Exhibits a passion for understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies
  • Insight led, with knowledge of how to obtain, interpret and apply customer and market research
  • Ability to distil complexity via a methodical and structured approach
  • Experience in implementation and optimization pricing and quoting tools
  • Ability to influence various stakeholders, including senior management, by communicating clearly and persuasively
