Thomson Reuters is a global enterprise Company, requiring HR Advisor to work together in a cohesive and collaborative manner to drive the strategic people agenda.
We are looking for HR Advisor is responsible for providing specialist support to all employees via email and/or phone channels or face to face in relation to their aligned business groups. You'll act as the HR service delivery first point of contact for employees, offering them guidance and answers to their queries. You will have ownership of an area of expertise (Immigration/Visa, Sickness/Occupational Health or Leave of Absences/Family Friendly) according to the team's business unit remit. You will support some UKI projects or contribute to local UKI initiatives aimed at improving our Service Delivery function when required.

About the Role
As our HR Advisor, you will:
- Provide generic guidance to managers and employees on local policies and procedures.
- Act as a knowledge expert in a specific field, either Immigration, Sickness & Occupational Health or leave of absences & family friendly policies and will partner closely with the UKI People Face to Face team within said specific field.
- Take ownership of low to medium Employee Relations cases, being supported by the local ER Specialist.
- Work with the HR Partner team to design and deliver training on HR Policies, Procedures and Workday to improve Manager and Employee capability.
- Act as the centre of expertise for benefits related queries.
- Assist with drawing up redundancy documentation where volume dictates.
- Respond to queries regarding the Workday system (e.g. system navigation).
- Liaise and partner closely with our payroll team to ensure changes are affected in a timely manner.
- Contribute to elements of HR projects and input into actions and overall objectives.
- File into employee files and ensure continued compliance in line with Data Protection legislation.
About You
To be our HR Advisor, you will likely have:
- At least 1 or 2 years as a HR Generalist (preferably in HR Shared Service function)
- Contributing to HR initiatives in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
- Business, HR, or relevant university degree (desired)
- Good level of IT skills with Microsoft office in Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Able to multi-task and prioritize workload as well as helping others.
- Interview and questioning people effectively, identifying and evaluating risks,
- Implementing, reinforcing policy, procedure or legal obligations.
- Knowledge and prior experience using Workday will be a plus (but not essential)
