About the Team
CoCounsel is a trusted generative AI assistant for legal professionals, working alongside lawyers as a team member and completing legal tasks at high quality and superhuman speed. CoCounsel can help our customers deliver high-quality, differentiated legal services by getting them from discovery to analysis to work product faster. We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Product Management to lead the development of our cutting-edge generative AI drafting solution for litigators. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, roadmap, and execution of AI-powered skills that revolutionize the way legal professionals create and manage litigation documents.
About the Role
Director, Litigation Drafting will:
- Develop and execute the product vision and strategy for our AI-driven litigation drafting solution.
- Partner closely with the team that manages the development of the CoCounsel Drafting solution and deliver litigation drafting skills into that product.
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, UX designers, and legal experts to deliver a best-in-class product.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends in the legal tech industry.
- Gather and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders, including litigators, law firms, courts, and legal departments.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and user adoption.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
- Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and create detailed product specifications.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and natural language processing technologies.
- Present product updates and roadmaps to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced Product Management professional
- JD degree or strong legal background and understanding of litigation use cases developed through education and/or work experience required.
- Demonstrated understanding of prompt engineering and other strategies, such as content optimization and taxonomy utilization, for purposes of developing AI-driven skills or features preferred.
- Experience in developing SaaS products for enterprise customers, preferably in the legal tech industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly features.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling innovative products.
- 7+ years of Product Management or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing and delivering solutions that employ AI, ML, Gen AI, and related tech is required.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $173,300 - $321,800. Eagan, MN; Ann Arbor, MI; Richmond, VA; Rochester, NY. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $149,700 - $277,900. Chicago, IL; Frisco, TX; Houston, TX; fully remote location. For these locations and any eligible US locations not otherwise noted, including for fully remote location if applicable, the base compensation range for this role is $157,500 - $292,500. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
