THE ROLE

The Workplace Services Specialist will support the WPS Manager with the day-to-day delivery of a full range of Office and Business services across the nominated TJX Workplace locations. Working directly with the team of TJX associates and specialist service partners, ensuring that the business receives the appropriate level of Office and Business services to support TJX's operational requirements. The WPS Specialist will work closely with associates and stakeholders from across TJX, including global shared services teams, to support the operating structure and environment which enables TJX Workplaces to be great places for our associates, customers and business partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Office and Business Services:

    • Support the WPS Manager in daily operations of external service providers.
    • Manage Front of House, Floor Hosts, Stationery Supply, Associate Catering, and Events Hospitality Services.
    • Oversee Associate Fitness and Wellbeing Services, Cleaning Services, and Internal & External planting/landscaping.
    • Handle Meeting Rooms Management, Onsite Event Support, and New Associate induction process.
    • Manage Confidential waste, general waste, DMR & compostable waste, and ad hoc waste collections (e.g., WEEE).
    • Promote sustainability innovation on campus.
    • Manage Associate Digital Lockers and champion accessibility.
    • Handle internal communications and branding stakeholder responsibilities.
  • Daily Management Support:

    • Ensure high standards of WPS services delivery.
    • Engage daily with service partners and support their team members.
    • Assist with performance management reporting and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Focus on customer service delivery and standards.
    • Support regular reporting for WPS budgets and energy management.
    • Assist with benchmarking activities and project initiatives.
    • Provide functional administration, project management, finance tracking, and budgeting support.
    • Assist with tender processes and contract extensions.
  • Health and Safety:

    • Support and monitor local TJX H&S Management system and policies.
    • Provide risk and compliance support.
    • Ensure H&S for your areas of activity and internal/external teams.
    • Support site audits and liaise with auditors.
    • Ensure appropriate training for you and your areas of responsibility.
    • Act as the primary contact for events management within your sites.
    • Support the management of the Accident Reporting process and provide First Aid support.
  • Contractor Safety:

    • Drive the safety culture for service partners.
    • Review third-party Safe Systems of Work.
    • Ensure service partners have appropriate accreditations and insurances.
  • Business Continuity (BC) Emergency Planning:

    • Assist in developing Business Continuity Management and Emergency Plans.
    • Lead internal teams and work with external third parties to ensure site safety and security.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Proven experience in an Office Services function, including service partners.
  • Experience in a customer-facing and service-focused environment with high standards.
  • Experience supporting budget delivery and performance management.
  • Commercial experience focused on high standards of service delivery and best value solutions.
  • Practical working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Inclusive teamwork, customer, and supplier management style.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, taking ownership and accountability.
  • High calibre of organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to analyse data and prepare reports.
  • Proactive, motivated, with a can-do attitude and hands-on approach.
  • Creative and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
  • Strong external and internal networking skills.
  • Health & Safety in the Workplace.
  • Project delivery and contractor management.
  • Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Emergency Plans.
  • Development of KPIs and SLAs for service providers.
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development.
  • Flexible approach to working, including outside normal hours for Emergency Planning/Operations.
  • Occasional UK/EU travel with overnight stays.
  • Attendance at public or external industry meetings/conferences.
  • Office-based role with occasional work-from-home options.
