TJX Europe is the leading off-price retail business in Europe. The Ecommerce team is responsible for delivering the off-price TK Maxx shopping and brand experience on the web and apps. This role is for a hands-on User Experience Design generalist that delivers UX design, strategy and implementation across the web and apps. Working as part of the Experience Design team within Ecommerce you will champion best practices and put users' needs at the centre of all design work. Within this role, you will design effortless, seamless products that are simple to use, deliver measurable value to customers and the business and evolve with changing needs. This role will report to the Manager of UX.

As UX Manager, you will lead your UX projects, partner with the UI Design Manager and the broader Digital Experience and Ecommerce teams to deliver a digital TK Maxx experience. You will manage and define the backlog of work, manage UX Designers and drive their development.

You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and experience of creating successful experiences across mobile apps and web, a good understanding of user research and how to drive design decision making based on user insight.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day design team process
  • Provide UX design support across a range of strategic initiatives to transform customer experience through user-centred design.
  • Conduct user research, testing and build testing knowledge base.
  • Focus design on users to achieve UX KPIs.
  • Use UX techniques to accelerate ideation. Co-develop the design and delivery process with colleagues, with clear UX/UI deliverables.
  • Promote a common language, standards and set of best practices across UX design partnerships.
  • Ensure designs conform with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience Managing a team of designers and riving their development
  • Commercial acumen and awareness of borader business impacts and goals
  • Proven skills in influencing stakeholders
  • High level communication skills
  • Broad experience in delivering successful, high quality, web and mobile app user experiences.
  • Provable experience of increasing metrics through design
  • Excellent design process & skills producing high quality deliverables across the design cycle.
  • Experienced in conducting own user research and using metrics, data insights and measurement frameworks to inform design.
  • Experience of working with Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design.
  • Experience of designing within WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and iOS & Android.
  • Working knowledge of UX designers' software tools for survey, content templating, wireframing and user testing.
  • Experienced in the use of UX Design Pattern Libraries and Design Systems.
  • Experienced in defining information architecture.
