The role is responsible for all transportation financial budgets, operational efficiencies, and service standards for the building. In addition, you will be responsible for partnering with internal and external teams to build strong working relationships that yield tangible results. In addition, you will lead, mentor, and develop your team through individual development plans and driving engagement. This role will drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI), such as on-time delivery, utilization, and schedule accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently deliver on KPI's for safety, operations, and cost
  • Manage 100% dedicated carrier performance, recognizing and celebrating wins, through mentorship and accountability when performance does not meet expectations.
  • Drive backhaul growth through partnerships with internal and external partners
  • Analyze and quantify trends and forecasts to proactively pivot strategies and develop action plans for opportunities
  • Manage relationships with 3PL and internal partners to provide support to the building and drive operational flow
  • Plan and communicate the truck capacity requirements and ensure an adequate supply of equipment is sustained and used effectively
  • Conducts audits on best practice compliance, such as for yard accuracy and equipment usage
  • Support growth by optimizing existing logistics flow as well as incorporating new store openings and dedicated solutions into existing network footprint.
  • Plan for and execute on peak and inventory strategies through asset management, store service, and partnership

Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in logistics or supply chain
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field OR related work experience
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Financial mindset to analyze, validate, and identify opportunities with invoicing and P&L
  • Experience driving efficiencies within backhaul improvement, driver utilization, and store service
  • Ability to work cross functionally to deliver results
  • Experience within 3PL distribution center and dedicated fleet
  • Knowledge of transportation industry including DOT regulations
  • Understanding of distribution center operations
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Strong communication and social skills, analytical skills, and critical thinking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proven understanding of systems for transportation management, delivery tracking, and yard management
  • Ability to build and sustain key relationships and informally influence

This position has a starting salary range of $80,500 to $102,700 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
