We're looking for a dynamic individual to coordinate various projects related to Store Design & Development. This includes total store design, fixture design and development, new department concepts, graphics/signage design and implementation, and exterior storefront design.

  • Collaborate with the Property Development group on new design projects and initiatives.
  • Partner with Store Operations, Marketing, and Merchants on new design concepts.
  • Work with Field Management to understand in-store operations, project installation, and training of new concepts.
  • Coordinate with outside fixture vendors, design firms, architects, and contractors on various aspects of design projects.
  • Create and design various new projects/concepts for TJX brands and new retail concepts.
  • Select colors, materials, and finishes to convey the design concept.
  • Partner with Store Design Manager on the development, selection, and specification of fixtures and furniture.
  • Create preliminary space plans and renderings for new store concepts.
  • Plan and calculate appropriate square footage capacity for new design concepts as needed.
  • Stay current in new design trends and fashion updates.
  • Resource new vendors, materials, and products with the support of the Store Design Administrator.
  • Assist Store Design Manager in coordinating various presentations to all levels of Management.
  • Train and communicate with Property Development on new design concepts as needed.
  • Travel to stores as necessary to review and test new prototypes.
  • Competitive shop to stay ahead of other retailers/trends.
  • Present to associates with new design initiatives as needed.

Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent work experience (Associate Degree accepted with experience).
  • 2-3 years in the design field (Retail experience preferred but not necessary).
  • Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCad, Enscape, Photoshop/Illustrator/In Design required
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) experience.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, presentation skills, ability to present to some levels of management.
  • Knowledge of finishes/design materials.
  • Multi-task and time management skills.

This position has a starting salary range of $60,500 to $75,600 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
