What you will do

Digital IT Operations is responsible for managing our infrastructure & configurations across our data centers/providers and supporting our environments. The organization delivers capabilities that enrich the customer experience and provide business value.

We are seeking a talented Staff Engineer with experience in Release & Test Environment, DevSecOps and outstanding collaboration skills. In this role you will do the following;

  • Be responsible for process design, optimization, and policy/governance.
  • Work closely with Product, Project, and Operations teams
  • Help to untangle manual processes in favor of automation opportunities.
  • Help to execute on key platform upgrade projects as a technical SME
  • Collaborate in driving best practices forward.
  • Periodically support critical issues impacting our test environments

What you will need

The Digital IT Operations Team thrives on strong relationships with our delivery & development partners and working diligently to address their needs which supports TJX growth and operational stability. You will be constantly challenged to think creatively.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product teams, third-party vendors, and operational stakeholders to ensure availability and stability and data refreshes in test environments.
  • Be a technical SME in an Engineer capacity in executing highly visible platform upgrades, projects and other "big rock" projects.
  • Actively coach and mentor engineers, scrum masters, and developers to identify and resolve issues with technology and product processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Operational Engineering skillset / training / work experience in relevant technical domain
  • Agile Release Management, Agile Delivery Experience
  • 2+ years Test Environment & Release Management Experience
  • Demonstrated ability in a Red Hat Linux, Java/Weblogic /Oracle ATG Environment in an operational role
  • 6+ years hands-on experience with Akamai CDN.
  • 4+ years hands on development experience with Java, REST/SOAP Web Services and Oracle DB.
  • 2+ years experience involving server infrastructure, network troubleshooting (routing, switching, dns), or managing 3rd party data center providers.
  • Effective communication to influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience with Application and SaaS development release processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple streams with competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in process formulation.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals and leaders at all levels.
  • Ability to occasionally work flexible shifts to support cutovers, upgrades and outages as the need arises.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile team

This position has a starting salary range of $110,500 to $143,700 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
