Sr. Product Manager | Hard Home Seasonal

The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.

Collaborates and provides direction, trend and development to the buyers before the trips. Supports the merchants on international buying trips. Ensures production problems are answered quickly and efficiently and that all parties are aware of the issues. Key to all the communication on the team in making sure everyone is aware of any new initiatives or changes on the team. Manages Product Managers and Product Development Specialists by providing guidance, training and direction in all areas of Product Development.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Reviews and approves garment specifications for accuracy and fit. Directs vendors on measurements and pattern changes and solicits feedback from Agents and Buyers.
  • Makes recommendations to styles/measurements to reflect market fashion or industry changes.
  • Standardizes fit sizes and prepares style translations and modifications.
  • Manages trim selection/development and approval.
  • Travels with Buyers internationally to provide technical and creative support.
  • Oversees the pre-trip planning process through soliciting samples from Buyers, reviewing past trips to suggest improvements and contacting the appropriate Agent to discuss trip objective, competition activity and factory status.
  • Manages Technical Product Specialist and/or Product Assistants by providing guidance, training and direction in all aspects of Product Development such as lab dips, specs, garment fits, report writing and negotiation skills.
  • Develops strong working relationships with Agents to resolve all construction issues and ensures style translations and modifications are clearly communicated and understood by Agents.
  • Ensures all production problems are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Special projects as assigned or directed.

Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • 7+ plus years' experience in Product Development or Product Management
  • Degree in Business, Merchandising or equivalent work experience.
  • Broad-based knowledge of Product Development including product specifications, overseas sourcing, and production.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong math skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Creates a positive environment in which a diverse workforce can thrive
  • Ability to communicate conceptual design ideas, anticipate trend and have a general fashion and color sense.
  • Domestic and international travel experience
  • PC skills including, Microsoft Office, PLM/Be Product, Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong organizational and follow through skills, detail oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills; able to study and manipulate data within a spreadsheet
  • Highly developed strategic retail merchandising
  • Demonstrates expertise in their functional area
  • Knowledge of product testing standards and protocols is a plus, but not required

This position has a starting salary range of $99,599 to $129,600 per year
