The Sr. Manager, Sustainable Sourcing for Product & Packaging will support TJX's Sustainability program, with a focus on sustainable materials sourcing and packaging development. This will include supporting the execution and strategy around designing more sustainable products, shifting to more sustainable raw materials, increasing transparency and traceability of raw materials through management of a third-party certification process, overseeing the achievement of TJX's external packaging goal, and tracking sustainable product and packaging initiatives. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week on-site at our Marlborough, MA location.

What You Will Do:
Strategy & Operations:
- Develop and manage sustainable sourcing strategies for products and packaging.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Sustainable Product Certification Team.
- Define KPIs to measure program impact.
- Support the Sustainable Packaging Manager in achieving packaging goals.
- Identify and mitigate sourcing process risks.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure standardized on-product claims.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Conduct research to expand sustainable sourcing strategies.
- Keep a pulse on industry trends, benchmark against peers as well as industry associations such as (AAFA, SAC, NRF, Textile Exchange, Sustainable Brands, Sustainable Packaging Coalition, Circular Alliance, etc.)
- Conduct ongoing research to support and expand TJX's sustainable sourcing strategies
Process Management:
- Manage internal standards and third-party certifications (e.g., GRS, GOTS, OCS, FSC).
- Develop systems for transparency and scalability of sourcing programs.
- Provide expertise for internal education on sustainability topics.
- Assess feasibility of new certifications with the Corporate Sustainability Team.
Team & Partnership Management:
- Partner with key internal stakeholders (Product Development, Packaging and Legal) to drive the execution of TJX's sustainable sourcing (product & packaging) initiatives, including the development and management of:
- processes
- stakeholder training tools
- internal standards
- tracking mechanisms
- Train and develop direct and indirect reports.
- Manage relationships with standard-setting bodies.
- Support external reporting and website content updates.
Who We Are Looking For: You
- 5+ years in sustainability, preferably in apparel, raw materials, supply chain, or product sustainability.
- Experience managing sustainability programs and knowledge of industry standards (GOTS, Oeko-Tex, GRS, OCS, FSC).
- Demonstrated ability managing product environmental or corporate responsibility-related programs for sustainable products; knowledge of the apparel industry, consumer goods industry, product development or supply chain preferred
- Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Engagement with industry groups (Textile Exchange, BCI, SAC).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and team-oriented matrix environment.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in sustainability or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred.

This position has a starting salary range of $111,300 to $144,800 per year.
Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
