The Opportunity: Contribute to the Efficient Operation of our Stores

Develop and implement innovative, simple solutions that allow the stores and other business partners to operate more efficiently while driving profitability and sustainability through the Vendor-DC-Store supply chain network. Responsible for store layout/design and new equipment to support operational efficiency and damage reduction. Supports the store allocation of associate labor through accurate engineered labor standards.

What You Will Do:

Serve as liaison with Field Store and Home Office partners to innovate processes in the following areas:

  • Backroom, Front End and office area layouts
  • Material handling needs
  • Work methods and motion economy
  • Support area layout for other non-selling spaces
  • Efficient scheduling and staffing of store processes
  • Improved process or equipment for markdown management
  • Optimized Vendor - DC - Store supply chain network

Responsible for Engineered Labor Standards (refreshing and development of new standards, based on new technology, methods, and equipment) as they relate to:

  • Scheduling and staffing analysis
  • Forecasted labor models
  • Labor allocation and optimization (working with Workforce Management)
  • Support of ROI analysis
  • Other responsibilities as required or directed

Who We Are Looking For: You

  • 3-5 years professional experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably in a Retail and/or Distribution Center setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial preferred
  • Understanding of time study and work methods analysis
  • Familiarity with MOST process and Lean Six Sigma a plus
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and team-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a solution- oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as well as strong experience developing and delivering presentations to support both operational and executive understanding of concepts
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Ability to travel as needed

This position has a starting salary range of $80,500 to $102,700 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
