What you'll do
Provide budget and accounting support and guidance to Global Business Services (GBS) Senior Leadership and Management teams Globally. Support GBS analysis and reporting to inform decisions regarding Capital and Expense projects. Represent GBS as the liaison between various corporate finance teams.
We seek self-motivated colleagues who can demonstrate their talent and experience to identify, triage, and support the smooth operation of finance processes, compliance, and support. You'll work with our finest business partners to correlate ongoing efforts with key business outcomes.
The senior financial analyst is responsible for supporting activities outlined below:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently perform GBS accounting activities for Global capital and expense budgets.
- Independently perform complex financial and operational analyses supporting GBS planning activities.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and general and custom reporting needs for regional and global requirements, including special projects.
- Prepare accurate and timely account reconciliations (including variance resolution).
- Analyze trends and partner with Finance teams to update forecasts.
- Issue expense reporting and analysis to GBS Senior Leadership.
- Support GBS in creating and complying with non-merchandising capital and expense purchase orders.
- Monitor GBS Purchase Order statuses and prepare complex accruals to ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger.
- Actively participate in a team environment to identify and implement operational improvement and efficiency opportunities.
- Oversee outsourcing of reporting where applicable.
- Create and publish dashboards and scorecards for GBS management and leadership.
- Create, update and improve various Access databases.
- Mentor less experienced Associates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Working Hours: 14:30 to 23:30 IST.
Decision Making:
- Provide budgetary guidance to business partners in GBS and across TJX
- Supports business partners located in all TJX operating regions (US, Canada, Europe/International)
Scope of Responsibility:
- Support accounting GBS capital and expenses over $30M+ globally
What you'll need
- Strong Financial Business Acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and prioritize effectively
- Professional written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot capability, knowledge of logic and look-up/reference functions, and chart skills) and Microsoft Access (ability to write queries and troubleshoot).
- Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Power BI.
- Strong presentation skills, financial summaries, PowerPoint (executive-level presentations)
- Perform data preparation, blending, and analysis to support business intelligence and reporting needs within Alteryx.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in Financial Planning/Budget Analysis, management consulting or related experience.
- Must have attention to detail, sound analytical skills, and ability to interpret/communicate financial information.
- Team-oriented, flexible, must be able to work and communicate with all levels of management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Strong training & development skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, CPA a plus
- Experience in the retail industry and managing multinational Business Partners and suppliers
