- Supports buying activities and guides or executes business plans and activities that contribute to driving business results.
- Works with the buying team to ensure vendors present new season range developments as per required timelines.
- Follows up to ensure design ranges are developed with the right vendors to deliver best-in-class products aligned with customer expectations.
- Demonstrates knowledge of vendors and product opportunities in each market to drive the right product with the right vendors.
- Manages the sourcing processes to deliver best-in-class products in alignment with the buying requirements.
- Evaluates the market to recommend the best source for a particular product or category of products. Researches new opportunities based on market trends.
- Assesses sampling capacities, decides on final allocations per vendor, and ensures the on-time receipt of samples developed by vendors.
- Manages the registration and onboarding of vendors in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Initiates and streamlines timely communication to all necessary parties, escalating when needed.
- Ensures daily business activities are supported by self and team to deliver business needs effectively.
- Demonstrates the ability to think like an entrepreneur by continuously searching for new business opportunities.
- Negotiates the best price for merchandise in conjunction with the buyers.
- Oversees and visits manufacturers and factories as required. Troubleshoots issues in a timely and accurate manner. Fairly and objectively assesses each supplier's strengths and weaknesses to make the most rational decisions regarding business relations.
- Develops and drives vendor capacity plans and requirements to deliver products on time and adhere to the TNA calendar.
- Provides inputs and relevant data points to the vendor assessment tool (time, cost, quality, and sell-through).
- Reviews vendor partners continuously to align with the organization's sourcing processes and shares feedback.

Job Requirements:
- Graduate with specialization preferably in "Apparel Merchandising/ Manufacturing from institutions like NIFT/ Pearl Academy or similar institutions.
- Minimum 10 to 12 years' solid experience in Apparel and fashion industry of which at least 6 years' experience in buying office, agent, or well-known retailer catering to U.S. Market.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills.
- Willing and able to frequently travel to explore new opportunities
- Proficient in MS Office
