Senior Manager of Media

We're looking for a Manager of Media to join our Marketing Team to be responsible for driving profitable sales and increasing market share through the creation and delivery of impactful European omni-channel media and digital strategies and campaigns, driving traffic, footfall, brand awareness and penetration across TJX Europe's operating markets.

The Media Manager is a key role within the European Brand and Marketing Hub at TJX Europe, will have proven experience in delivering results through a pan-European matrix organisation and will have their finger on the pulse when it comes to changing consumer behaviours, media landscapes and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and partner with stakeholders and Country Marketing to create, plan and deliver best-in-class media campaigns for TK Maxx and Homesense.
  • Partner closely with all Managers of Media to build holistic strategies and plans that maximise effectiveness of media and with the AVP of Media to lead our Media agency, building and maintaining great solution-oriented working relationships.
  • Accountable for the pan-European Brand Media budget and maximising effectiveness and efficiency, leveraging pan-European expertise, insights, analytics, and strategy to meet KPIs.
  • Partner with Media Effectiveness to ensure our Media agency has the required support network and remuneration structure to deliver against our goals.
  • Responsible for campaign measurement, reporting, evaluation, and optimisation.
  • Develop great relationships across Media, Brand & Marketing, and the business, influencing at all levels to deliver the most optimal omnichannel media strategies and plans.
  • Create and nurture external industry relationships to invest in continual learning for the business, to assist in the development of new strategies and opportunities.
  • Be a source of expertise, providing guidance to other business areas driving the adoption of new media, digital and data strategies and tactics and educate TJX on industry developments.
  • Build open and productive relationship with peer groups in TJX US and Canada, seeking to leverage and partner where possible.
  • Develop and nurture a high performing team, upskilling, coaching, and mentoring across the department providing clear objectives aligned with the business goals whilst supporting the team in driving their own development.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Significant professional experience in media strategy, planning or marketing campaign planning, ideally from a marketing agency or an in-house role.
  • Experience with planning end to end omnichannel media campaigns and managing media or marketing agencies to deliver results.
  • Media and digital expertise, able to take complex media concepts and present simply.
  • Highly numerate and confident with data, able to manage budgets effectively.
  • Great interpersonal, stakeholder and project management skills ideally gained across European or global or matrix structures.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and manage to tight deadlines.
  • Flexible, able to find solutions in uncertain or unknow circumstances, comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • International experience, preferable gained in an omnichannel environment.
  • An innovator with commercial pragmatism at the core.
