Note -This is a national role which will require strong HR knowledge and business partnering skills. The role will cover the UK and Ireland ( excluding London) and will require 3-4 days travel per week.

Job Summary
The TJX Europe Leadership Team is focused on our future and recognises that we can only grow by investing in our people. This role is a vital element in those plans, whereby a small number of HR Business Partners will be the major drivers and catalysts of this cultural and organisational change. This is a true Business Partnering role where you will deliver the HR strategy and objectives through coaching, supporting, and challenging your business partners. You will play a huge part in creating the strategy and driving the success of the function, as part of TJX Europe's ever-growing business.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, create, and drive the people and talent agenda, ensuring European HR plans are aligned with business strategy and culture
- Support the delivery of organisational change, and support continuous diagnosis to keep it current
- Anticipate and monitor changes that will be relevant and involve/collaborate with the relevant stakeholders
- Coach, advice and consult with departmental and functional Heads, and HR Centres of Expertise, to future plan activities, and create strategies to meet required people needs of a department or the function
- Partner with AVP and VP to drive inclusive talent discussions, identify talent gaps and create talent strategy.
- Proactively identify talent issues before they affect the business, and support with the design of the functions strategy in order to resolve issues
- Create and maintain the HR service provision
- True Business Partnering with the function; providing expert and specialist HR advice and support at all levels
- Work with high levels of complexity while always providing the appropriate HR support; communicating with stakeholders at all levels within the business on a wide range of complex matters and strategic initiatives
- Develop and lead teams to deliver business development and change
- Providing expert HR advice and guidance to leaders, up to and including VP level as well as associates on a wide range of HR matters; including dealing with complex employee relations casework, performance management, engagement, legal compliance, policy and procedures, absence management, wellness, consultation, diversity, communications, environment and working conditions, duty of care, change management and health and safety
- Interpret policies, procedures and initiative in order to share details within the function in the right way, and to ensure that advice and solutions are provided to fit the needs of the department and/or function
- Use in-depth knowledge of TJX business and strategy, ways of working and policies to provide HR advice as needed
- Proactively manage complex ER climate and cases across the respective remit or region; demonstrate an understanding of the ER culture; taking pre-emptive action to avoid escalation; providing advice and support to managers to ensure the correct policies/procedures/legislations are followed and ensuring fairness and consistency across the region
Leadership
- Role model inclusive leadership and new ways of working
- Develop the HR team, creating succession plans and driving an inclusive team culture
- Coach and support Jr. HRBPs, HRBPs and peers in carrying out their roles; acting as a sounding board, as well as providing options, solutions and learning to issues or concerns
- Act as an advisor and/or mentor to junior colleagues across the whole HR function
- Share strategy and current topics with Jr. HRBP/HRBP group to create best practice and leverage organisational gain, providing opportunities for development and leaning within the team
- Support with the upskilling and development of managers within a department or function as needed
- Work with Talent Development to support the functions with induction, technical training, management development, coaching, talent planning, succession, career paths, high potential, and leadership development
- Develop leaders of the future through effective coaching, including supporting them in developing people management skills and challenging as needed
- Pragmatic approach with the ability to work in the grey
Talent Management
- Support with the development of functional strategies and changes including talent development, talent actions and organisational design and developments
- In response to the functional business strategy, identify, influence, develop and drive the people agenda, ensuring that it contributes to its overall success, adjusting the people agenda to meet changing needs
- Partner with the functional senior management team to manage the annual talent cycle and development of talent actions, helping and inputting to the strategic direction for the function
- Partner with business leaders and line managers in local, regional, and European talent groups to deliver the people talent agenda and keep it high on their priorities
- Monitor headcount planning and pipeline, partnering with Talent Acquisition and Finance to support succession planning across Europe
HR Department Responsibilities
- Support with the delivery and implementation of the HR strategy
- Work within the 4 box model, acting as a bridge and managing the relationship and requirements between distribution and the HR Centres of Expertise
- Identify with Centres of Expertise critical HR metrics required to measure business success
- Constructively challenge AVPs and Managers across the function and the HR community
- Act as a lead as required for projects within HR or a department/function to support TJX goals and priorities, providing direction and a focus for the project team to support its success
- Manage complex ER cases across the business as needed to support the wider HR Business Partner team, providing advice and support to managers as needed to ensure the correct policies/procedures are followed

- Demonstrable experience of working in teams to achieve a common goal
- Ability to lead teams across different countries and/or functions
- Strong commercial acumen and drive for results
- Strong knowledge of TJX Europe business and strategies, and systems required
- Strong project management skills, alongside high levels attention to detail
- Independent, able to work effectively without close supervision
- High levels of tenacity and resilience

- Ability to represent the company and HR function in a professional manner
- In-depth HR knowledge and experience of advising on complex HR issues
- Ideally CIPD qualified (UK) or equivalent HR knowledge and experience
