What you'll do
It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • This position will be responsible for conducting financial and business analysis on an assigned set of projects and initiatives, as well as building customized reporting and data models to support business decision making.
  • Develop understanding of business KPIs to present business insights and financial decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally supporting Manager with ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling that is consistent with TJX methodology.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute reports to senior management that provide a clear understanding of business performance and KPIs.
  • Partner with other members of the Finance team to ensure consistency and integrity of financial data and processes.
  • Collaborate with the BP&A team and Business Partners to create and identify new areas of potential business analysis.
  • Conducts financial analysis on business strategies and tactics.
  • Coordinates activities to ensure strong financial data governance across TJXC, ensuring accuracy of all reporting.
  • Partners with the business to provide support materials to enhance internal decision making.
  • Partners and leads ad-hoc projects as required.

What you'll need
To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or other related quantitative disciplines).
  • Having obtained or working towards, business related designation (CPA, CFA, MBA).
  • Minimum of 3 (three) years of professional work experience in analytics and big data.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel ability (efficient and clean presentation of data, knowledge of efficient lookup, filtering functions); experience with VBA, SQL, Oracle, Power Apps, Power Automate and/or TM1 are considered assets.
  • Experience creating information dashboards; proven ability working in Power BI and with DAX.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a detail-oriented, multi-project environment while meeting tight and fixed deadlines. Capabilities such as estimating time required to complete projects; follow up on assignments and keep appropriate team members aware of progress.
  • Investigative seeker with a passion for quantitative analysis and desire to continually add value and help achieve business results
  • Experience working in a Finance department supporting a retail organization is considered an asset.

Salary Range: $73,190 - $102,410 /year

*This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
