About you

  • CA or CPA qualified or working towards one of these qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience working in a financial accounting role
  • You possess a minimum of intermediate MS Excel skills
  • You are adaptable and self-motivated with initiative and takes responsibility for deliverables
  • A great talker, you have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Summary

You will be responsible for monthly P&L variance analysis, maintenance of the fixed asset register and providing accurate and timely month end financial reporting. You will also actively seek to identify and implement process improvement and/or automation opportunities, and leverage systems and processes to aid in decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis of monthly P&L variances and provide detailed commentary to senior finance leadership
  • Preparation of month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and associated reporting,
  • Preparation of tax compliance lodgments (including BAS, FBT and payroll tax) by liaising with external tax agents
  • Manage prepayment reconciliations and journals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support forecasting
  • Provide analytical support to business partners as requested
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Ensure all TJX Corporate requirements are met on time and to the required standard
  • Other ad hoc activities/projects
