The Senior Finance Analyst role is a key part of our European Retail Finance team & partners directly with the Store Operations team and other finance teams to deliver results and enable our future expansion.

Job Summary

  • Reporting to the Finance Manager to help Partner the Retail Leadership team on the Stores P&L to support the delivery of business and financial goals
  • Support the provision of analytical support to the Store Operations team to ensure a high standard of financial controls and visibility of key metrics, with a key focus on payroll, with the aim of making the best for business decisions
  • Work collaboratively across the Retail Finance team to share learnings, work consistently and leverage all P&L lines
  • Ensure high quality processes that can deliver accurate, timely and insightful information in key cost areas

The role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a wide range of business partners. You will need to combine good process, technical & business partnering skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the FM in ensuring high levels of trust in the reporting, communication and forecasting with robust processes and review
  • Hold regular reviews with the Store Operations team to share information, make decisions and deliver the plan
  • Analysis and communication of P&L lines to identify volume, rate and mix drivers to explain and challenge performance
  • Identification of Opportunities and Risks with sufficient notice to influence the outcome
  • Delivery of core finance processes including month end, forecasts, budgets and long range planning
  • Analytical support to projects and new initiatives
  • Encourage knowledge sharing across the team & actively seek to support the development of others

  • Qualified accountant
  • Advanced analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong financial systems and Excel skills
  • Experience of supporting a commercial operations team
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships to deliver results
  • Curious about the business and drivers of performance
  • Can describe complex ideas simply and to non-finance teams
  • Flexible attitude and forward-thinking nature
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
