What you'll do

It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • The purpose of this role is to support sourcing, contracting and category management efforts for all non-merchandise areas of the business. This role has an impact on supplier selection, adding value to the business and supporting various business partners across the organization
  • Supports Global Category Management Teams to deliver regional and global sourcing events across all assigned categories including sourcing administration and event support
  • Leads low to medium value/complexity strategic sourcing initiatives and the implementation of category strategies
  • Collaborates with cross functional / cross regional teams to drive value for the business, while maintaining high quality service standards. Ensures key Business Partner alignment and satisfaction. Participates in execution of contracts and ensuring compliance to TJX Approval Authority Schedule and Audit requirements

What you'll need

To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • Minimum 3 years strategic sourcing, procurement or related experience; experience in the retail industry and managing multinational Business Partners and suppliers
  • Knowledge of RFx requirements including sourcing event structure, selecting suppliers to participate, building RFx criteria and deciding upon timing, length, type and complexity of RFI, RFP and/or e-Auction
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with ability to influence business partners, to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs, build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor; bilingualism an asset
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions, revise business strategies to support the vision of the organization; solid understanding of financial planning, business tools and reports to make business recommendations
  • Good problem solving skills including analysis of information (i.e. requirements; description of problems); provide solutions with cost implications to effectively resolve issues and execute strategic solutions

Salary Range: $73,190 - $102,410

This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
