Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Working in conjunction with both the Store Loss Prevention and Management teams to provide visual shop floor deterrence to incidents of External Theft and potential instances of nuisance or unruly behaviour. To support with Customer Service and EAS response at Front of House. As well as providing a visual uniformed theft deterrence in high shrink areas, becoming an expert in the deployment and validation of Merchandise Protection. As well as using interpersonal skills to engage and update the knowledge of associates in key areas of Shrink and Loss in the store.

• Being visible at the front of the store providing reassurance to Customers and Associates.

• Operating as a uniformed presence to deter low level or persistent external crime activity.

• Provides a visual point of contact at the Entrance to the store to assist customer enquiries.

• Responds quickly and courteously to EAS activations, supporting store associates.

• Conducting regular patrols of high shrink departments as directed by Line Manager.

• Advises store Loss Prevention team on external Shoplifter Alert Signals.

• Provide intelligence on indicators of loss including defeated tags, empty packaging etc.

• Is visible at key points including Front Line to deter potential internal dishonesty.

• Assists LPA to detain and escort shoplifters during apprehensions (Once MAYBO qualified).

• Adherers to the elements of the TJXE LP Non - Violence Policy.

• Remaining calm and professional during high stress situations including fire evacuations, bomb threats etc.

• Undertakes training programmes on an on-going basis and applies learning.

• Uses interpersonal skills to engage with others to raise awareness on crime/loss matters.

• Becomes an expert on the deployment of merchandise protection equipment.

• Supports the validation of merchandise protection deployment and provides feedback to ensure greater compliance to current policy.

• Understands and can articulate key Corporate and LP Function Goals and Priorities.

• Basic Numeracy and PC literacy.
