The Logistics Specialist - BVS will be responsible for supporting and enabling our buying organisation in the UK Buying Office, be a key business partner to our global 3rd party logistics providers and our extensive vendor community. Effective partnering and ongoing education are critical to enable the efficient flow of goods through TJX Europe's supply chain.

This central partnership role means you will be the main logistics representation for TJX UK Buying Office working collaboratively within the business and externally to maximise profitability by identifying risks and pro-actively seek opportunities to improve the flow of goods through our supply chain, whilst adhering to requirements to protect our customers and the company's reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
Buying Partnerships
- You will be the logistics focal point supporting the UK Buying office on buying deals, advising to ensure logistical objectives are met to efficiently flow goods into the supply chain.
- Provides advice and consult, suggests creative alternatives to conventional approaches
- Proactively partner and educate the buying teams on best practices amid a changing, fast paced, off-price environment
- Is the conduit of communication between Logistics and the first point of contact for all Buying & Buying Operations Support activities
- You will need to balance managing stakeholder expectations but being realistic and timely with solutions
Vendor Excellence
- Partnering with our vendors and buying teams is integral in this role. You must effectively onboard vendors to ensure they are compliant and understand TJX Europe's requirements
- Proactively drive improvement in vendor behavior by partnering with various teams across the function; this will include being involved in cost mitigation activities and initiatives
Logistics Engagement & Partnership
- Work with the wider logistics teams and freight forwarders to remedy supply chain issues for quick fixes and long-term solutions
- Prioritise shipments and key deals by understanding your business areas and utilizing reporting tools provided by the business
- Partner with other BVS logistics teams to ensure process alignment on best practices and expectations
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Comfortable operating in the grey as well as in a flexible and changing retail landscape
- Able to build and maintain impactful relationships across diverse teams, geographies and levels as well as influence to get results
- Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and convert into relevant information
- Resilient and patient in coaching cross-functionally
