Inbound Transportation Coordinator

In Person, Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 8:30pm

Job Summary

Provides transportation clerical support for the Distribution Centers. Serves as liaison between the transportation center and Home Office Transportation Department regarding inbound and outbound shipments. Audits yard for inbound and outbound shipments.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Coordinates, completes and submits all daily reports, bills and paperwork required to be sent to the Home Office Transportation department
  • Serves as liaison between DC management and the Home Office Transportation Department on shipment issues
  • Coordinates the loading and delivery to Cross-Dock destinations and new stores
  • Assists Receiving and Shipping clerical staff with the completion of daily responsibilities. Collects, sorts and files incoming packing lists/manifests from vendors/carriers in preparation for the Lay-up Department
  • Communicates with carriers on any problems or concerns directly related to the Worcester DC in the event the Home Office Transportation Department is unable to resolve the issues/concerns
  • Special projects as assigned or directed.

Job Knowledge

Minimum formal education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum job skills required to perform this job:

  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word specifically)

Minimum experience required to perform this job:

  • 6-12 month related experience (Distribution/Transportation preferred)

Pay range for this positon is $19.00 - $22.20 an hour.
