Under the direction of the Manager of Human Resources, the HR Business Partner ensures strategic support and direction is given to all Associates in the areas of Associate Relations (AR), Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Operations and Systems. Oversees the adherence to Company policies and procedures. Fields and handles AR questions/issues for resolution. Responds to all inquiries promptly and thoroughly while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Develops appropriate recruitment strategies to meet the current and projected needs of the organization. Facilitates the internal transfer/promotion process for exempt associates. Coaches, consults, and influences business partners on business strategies.

Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Responsible for the identification and delivery of HR strategies aligned with business goals and objectives
  • Partner with functional leaders and leadership teams to ensure the overall organization and culture are designed around strategic growth and performance goals
  • Enable continuous improvement and change
  • Provide high level coaching and counsel to leaders

Talent

  • Influence and support the business function's Talent Agenda
  • Guide the acquisition, staffing, development and retention of TJX associates
  • Execute on talent strategies in alignment with business needs

Engagement

  • Drive and ensure talent development, succession planning, and a culture of inclusion within assigned functions
  • Collaborate in the management of compensation, and benefits programs and support a high level of employee engagement through the maintenance of a healthy work environment
  • Advocate use of performance management and feedback mechanisms to insure frequent, candid communication with Associates
  • Support the TJX Inclusion and Diversity Framework

Skills/Knowledge:

  • 2-4 years' experience in an HR function preferably in a Generalist capacity.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related experience preferred
  • Accustomed to working as a strategic business partner; demonstrable track record of defining and delivering HR strategy that meets long-term, strategic business goals
  • Rigorously pursues practical business solutions while spontaneously responding to the day to day needs of the business
  • Demonstrated experience supporting leaders in the advancement of Inclusion and Diversity strategies and initiatives
  • Excellent communications skills, both written, verbal and visual, ability to communicate complex business information in a clear and compelling way
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and build effective working relationships with internal partners in a rapidly changing environment
  • Developed business acumen and proven agility
  • Data trending and analysis with storytelling

This position has a starting salary range of $90,200 to $115,200 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
