What you'll do

It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • Designs and develops creative material including but not limited to concepts, layouts, templates, animation, print designs, logos, and visual assets for various learning solutions
  • Develops learning solutions including but not limited to eLearning, video, infographics, and workbooks
  • Collaborates and consults with internal partners to understand project requirements, desired learning outcomes to provide creative input on design concepts and ensure alignment on learning content
  • Accountable for adhering to brand design standards, including icons, assets, images, and other components; maintains a high standard of design quality and ensures consistency across all creative designs
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating department's design collateral and assets; contributes ideas on department design library
  • Monitors competitive landscape, keeping up to date on latest developments in learning and development graphic and instructional design, ensuring alignment with current industry trends and business needs.
  • Actively contributes to brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas.
  • Leads and/or participates in the execution of special projects within the marketing department as required

What you'll need

To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • Minimum three (3) years of related experience in a digital creative environment and adult learning and development experience
  • Post secondary education in Graphic Arts, Instructional Design, Marketing and/or Communications considered an asset
  • Highly advanced understanding of digital graphic design, design principles and best-practices, with a focus on layout, typography, the use of negative space, and colour theory and usage - has high level of aesthetics vision with an excellent design sense with experience with four (4) colour process preferred
  • Previous experience creating graphic logos as well as brand and style guide creation considered an asset
  • Experience creating interactive workbooks, eLearning using Articulate (Storyline and/or Rise), 2-D, and 3-D animation designs is an asset
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Microsoft applications is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to read, write, communicate and interpret information accurately
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to implement and manage details, prioritize, time manage and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under time pressure - ability to deliver high quality designs and learning solutions in very short turn-around times.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including developing and building relationships with internal and external partners / team members

Salary Range: $58,910 - $82,472/year

This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
