What you'll do

It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • Responsible for managing and planning fixtures purchases with business and vendors to ensure fixture needs and requirements are fulfilled for all banners across TJX Canada.
  • Identify, review, confirm and plan fixturing needs for new stores, relocations, renovations, store base replenishments and new rollout initiatives, issuing purchase orders and partnering with internal departments to ensure requirements are accurately understood for setup and execution
  • Manages new fixture development process including partnering with vendors to review needs and develop solutions based on vision obtained from initiative driver; assists in the fixture concept development, samples and or prototypes to review specifications Senior Management for approval
  • Responsible for managing vendor relationships including reviewing performance, inventory levels and service levels to ensure optimal outcomes from order to delivery and implementation; develop plans to address unforeseen activities that will impact projects
  • Oversees fixtures database remains up to date, accurate; coordinating with Store Design to maintain accurate block translation of Auto CAD and Fixture Automation Interface software programs; responsible for ensuring all fixture manuals and pricing templates are up to date
  • Supports the Fixtures Purchasing team, providing direction and guidance to team members on day to day activities and projects; reviews performance and provides feedback, mentors, trains and is a resource to answer questions and discuss best practices

What you'll need

To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • 2 to 5 years demonstrated management experience preferably in a retail store fixturing environment
  • Superior analytical skills, particularly in the area of inventory analysis and budgeting and strong problem solving, analytical and research skills to identify problems, cost implications and develop solutions i.e. fixture requirements, description of problems
  • Solid project management skills including structured project methodology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills developing relationships with other TJX Canada departments, contractors and vendors
  • Strong people management skills including coaching, providing advice and guidance to associates in the resolution of problems; evaluating performance and providing feedback to team members
  • Proficient ability with MS Office applications (with emphasis in Excel) required; experience with Oracle or Lawson Financial is preferred

Salary Range: $95,000 - $100,000

This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
