What you'll do
It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:
- This position accountable for executing merchandise presentation strategies and initiatives by providing merchandise training and subject matter expertise to Field leadership to drive sales and profitability for TJX Canada, within assignment market
- Provides subject matter expertise on store layout, new store concepts and design with focus on overall merchandise flow, store layout through displays, fixtures, signing, marketing, lighting, wall presentations, and assets
- Responsible for evaluating sales, drivers and analyzing outcomes; develops merchandise training and process improvement recommendations to improve sales, enhance customer experience
- Supports new store openings, renovations and relocations, including audits, training, and critical paths as relates to merchandise presentation
- Accountable for reviewing fixture inventory for relocations to create capacity; identifies opportunities to repurpose fixtures in existing stores based on regional needs to ensure effective capital budget utilization
- Collaborates closely with Field Leadership team on merchandise presentation standards and guidelines; identifies and recommends solutions through in the moment coaching
- Collaborates with business partners to support implementation of COPP initiatives, ensures timely installation of fixtures by installers and adjusts floor plans as required
- Collaborates with Store Operations peers including Field Training Managers on roll out of regional training programs e.g. new member of management, Merchandise Presentation to ensure merchandise presentation training objectives and are met within programs
- Supports corporate initiatives and pilot programs and considers impact of decisions on other parts of the business
What you'll need
To begin your career with us, we require the following:
- Ability to execute in store merchandise presentation standards and identify opportunities
- Ability to develop and build relationships with internal and external partners, influence team members and help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization's needs; build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor
- Demonstrated people management skills including coaching, providing advice and guidance to Associates to resolve issues/problems; evaluating performance and providing feedback to team members; participate in the Associate orientation when needed
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally/regionally (car and air) 4 days a week, valid driver's license required
- General computer skills including MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, graphic design
Salary Range: $85,430 - $129,188 /year
This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
