What you'll do

It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:

  • Accountable for identifying overseeing production area by providing leadership to Operations Supervisor team to ensure production requirements are met on a timely basis, while maintaining cost efficiencies, operational, health and safety, quality and service standards, and positive Associate Labour Relations.
  • Provides a collaborative leadership approach to a team of Operations Supervisors to deliver required production results to achieve or surpass area KPI targets on a consistent basis within the established controls, operational and health and safety standards
  • In conjunction with other Managers and Operations Supervisors, responsible for developing and implementing plans based on pre-established parameters (i.e. accuracy, turn time goals) for groups of departments, daily, weekly up to 6 to 12 months out
  • Continuously builds and develops talent through effective coaching, effective on-going recruitment and awareness of talent gaps in the facility
  • Provides direction, advice and guidance to team members on day to day key activities; reviews project performance and provides feedback, mentors, trains and is a resource to answer questions and discuss best practices
  • Responsible for managing production, forecast variances, and seasonal fluctuations and ensuring effective execution to established targets and production plans

    What you'll need

    To begin your career with us, you'll have:

    • Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in Distribution (in retail or similar business) functional and technical areas with minimum three (3) years management or supervisory experience
    • University Degree or College Diploma with a Bachelor of Business Administration or Engineering an asset; or equivalent work experience
    • Experience with high volume, fast paced, labour intensive, constantly changing production atmosphere operations
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, conflict management and information gathering skills, with ability to leverage prior experience, prioritize project tasks, meet needs of clients/projects and build rapport/ credibility as trusted advisor
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with effective presentation skills

    Salary Range: $85,430 - $129,188

    This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
