The Compliance Data and Systems Manager is responsible for managing the productivity center and solution built by the team associated with product, consumer, privacy, information management, and other regulatory-compliance requirements and enterprise risk-management efforts. This newly created role will partner with Risk Management, Legal, Information Technology, third-party providers, and myriad TJX businesses globally to help oversee solution development and data assurance assignment for risk and compliance purposes.

As we continue to grow, external and internal factors have increased our need to be more diligent than ever in monitoring compliance, enforcing privacy and data protection requirements, and mitigating our risk. To ensure we continue to meet external requirements and proactively address potential issues we are expanding our Corporate Risk and Compliance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Represents the Risk Management group in working with TJX IT and third-party providers on assigned projects to delivery solution that collect, manage, or improve management of compliance and risk-management initiative.
  • Manages, organizes, maintains, and oversees efforts related to the Risk Assurance Productivity Centers to promote better use of pre-existing data & systems to drive automation, simplification, and reduce manual errors while ensuring the appropriate quality, integrity, availability, and compliance needs are met.
  • Manages, organizes, maintains, and oversees efforts related to platform enablement/upkeep to allow risk analysts to utilize modern tools and centralized single source of truth data to promote effectiveness related to compliance and risk business needs.
  • Establish structure, best practices, and release management practice that supports delivering all solutions to production.
  • Ensures projects are properly sequenced based on business priority, dependencies, and team capacity; assigns resources to projects and other work assignments; manages demand vs. capacity gaps and resource contention issues.
  • Establishes standards for applicable capabilities, ensuring standards and best practices are published, maintained, and followed.
  • Partners with various teams within IT and/or 3rd parties as needed to forge key agreements around solution approaches, operating principles, transition to production etc.
  • Acts as first point of contact for business and technical requests, and an escalation point for issues not resolved at a lower level.
  • Monitors solution delivery performance metrics, measures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure quality and operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Decision Making

  • Responsible for decisions that directly impact project timelines and budgets.
  • Reviews and approves requests for variance from standards; may review and approve project artifacts.
  • Assigns work groups to projects and other assignments; makes sourcing decisions to leverage third party resources when appropriate.
  • May participate in project decisions on features/functionality, release strategy, etc.
  • Makes personnel decisions including hire/fire, training, development, and disciplinary action when appropriate.
  • Champions Risk and Compliance Business Solutions initiatives to enable alignment to a IT and Business roadmap or improve operational efficiencies, risk migration or business effectiveness
  • Acts as a key influencer of a decisions made within the organizations

Skills/Knowledge

  • Knowledge of solution delivery lifecycle, including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, technologies/platforms, frameworks, and methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and tooling, and Release Management
  • Strong understanding of specialized skills necessary to deliver solutions: system engineering, configuration management, data and database engineering, system architecture, infrastructure management, IT service management, security, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships with internal partners in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to independently identify bottlenecks or other inefficiencies in the design of a system.
  • Comfortable collaborating and partnering with all levels across multiple business functions including but not limited to Risk Management, Merchandising, Legal, IT, as well as 3rd party vendor resources.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, and fluid environment; remains calm under pressure, demonstrates excellent conflict management skills.
  • Communications skills, both written and verbal, ability to communicate complex business information in a clear and compelling way. Ability to work up and down the organization; able to influence others and achieve results

Experience/Education
5+ years of relevant experience in communication and project management
3+ years leadership experience in people, technology, and systems

This position has a starting salary range of $99600 to $129600 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
