The Background Screening Compliance Investigator assists the Background Investigations Compliance Manager to ensure TJX's compliance with federal and state background screening/investigation employment and labor laws, policies and regulations. In addition to conducting investigations and research, capturing data and analyzing facts, the Investigator helps in developing recommendations for action for Associates with adverse background check results to certify the highest level of execution on "pre" and "post" employment screening!

Responsibilities
- Conducts a thorough and complete review of background check results according to company policies, applicable laws, regulations, and procedural requirements.
- Obtains, researches, investigates, and reviews data from various sources and information systems and prepares written summaries of findings for review by the Senior Background Screening Compliance Investigator, Background Investigations Compliance Manger with recommendations regarding future employment status.
- Provides assistance to the Senior Investigator, Manger and partners on the research and results to ensure consistency and collaboration when adjudicating any adverse action in compliance with relevant policy, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepares and presents complex matters to legal an HR partners for alignment with adjudication recommendations.
- Initiates and monitors "pre" and "post" adverse action ensuring compliance through tracking and follow up upholding background screening processes at all touch points.
- Supports business partners with background screening processes and status inquiries and assists with escalating areas of opportunity and solutioning for procedural improvements.

This position has a starting salary range of $63,000.00 to $78,800.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
