Key Responsibilities

Leading the Business with Vision and Strategy

  • Set the vision for media's role in the marketing plan and lead the development of media strategy that balances business priorities and external forces to achieve critical long and short term KPIs while future proofing media investment
    • Where applicable responsible for media and digital marketing's role in driving e-commerce sales through effective forecasting, investment strategy & testing roadmap
  • Proven ability to create a compelling narrative of the media landscape to educate & influence key stakeholders and galvanize support for innovative and productive media & digital marketing strategies
    • Stay abreast of industry trends through conference attendance, vendor meetings, agency partnership, competitive research, etc. and educate the organization on current and future states of media and technology
    • Ability to apply this knowledge to create Innovative media strategies on behalf of the TJX brands
  • Effectively partner with cross functional leadership teams to ensure holistic vision across channels
  • Proven ability in distilling overarching brand strategy into inspiring media briefs that produce effective and innovative plans across paid and owned channels
  • Responsible for agency performance in delivering media strategy and effective media plans that achieve business objectives and goals.
  • Represent the voice of media & performance marketing in all leadership discussions.

Drive for Results (driving profitable sales & increasing market share)

  • Leverage media and marketing spend to achieve projected sales and profit goals for each U.S. Division, while managing expenses
  • Grow market share through driving consideration, expanding the customer base (growing prospects) and building brand loyalty (increased visitation from occasional and regular shoppers)
  • Partner with Consumer and Business Insights on the creation of the long-term vision for the organization's approach to integrated multi-channel testing, data analysis interpretation, measurement and the annual media learning agenda.
    • Proven experience in data analysis, identifying insights to drive ongoing marketing testing & optimizations
    • Use data strategically to identify new customer growth opportunities and reach existing customers with relevant content
    • Leverage testing & learning across portfolio to learn faster
  • Collaborate with peers to develop a portfolio approach to vendor relationships

Developing Talent & Effective Teams

  • Develop individual talent and a high-performing team of strategic and critical thinkers capable of effectively supporting the needs of the business
  • Guide the team on the approach to sharing strategy, storytelling, and results across the organization
  • Grow talent pipeline at every level by nurturing, challenging, and preparing Associates for future roles
  • Act as a mentor and coach, consistently providing feedback and identifying development & growth opportunities
  • Model an entrepreneurial and innovative culture of intelligent risk-taking, testing, and curiosity around "what's possible"
  • Champion inclusion and diversity within our team and ensure all Associates feel welcome, valued, and engaged

Developing and Nurturing Relationships

  • Build strong relationships with peers across marketing to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Expand your network by developing key relationships by actively extending, building, and maintaining networks
  • Build networks with Global media leadership to ensure sharing of best practices and thought leadership
  • Own, lead & nurture partner relationships across media, agency and technology partners to deliver impactful and innovative media investment and testing opportunities for TJX

This position has a starting salary range of $142,500.00 to $185,300.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
