What you'll do
It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • This position will support multiple senior-level stakeholders within the TJX Curriculum Development team, providing complex administrative support requiring a broad range of knowledge relating to company policies and practices. This role interfaces with a variety of Merchants from various banners, offices, levels of seniority and tenure on a global scale, requiring talent to demonstrate tact, diplomacy and flexibility in their day-to-day work.
  • Coordinates meetings, amenities, maintains files and daily calendar/schedules.
  • Responds to inquiries, prepares correspondence, reports meeting minutes; communicates pertinent information within appropriate departments.
  • Organizes event details such as menus, accommodation, audiovisual equipment, upgrades, agendas, and maps; assists the in-house Travel department with travel arrangements by providing accurate information (cars, rentals, hotels, etc.).
  • Accurate tracking of vacation, floater, and sick days, and overtime hours for the AVP/department; prepares and submit expenses through Infor Expense Management.
  • Work with standard spreadsheets and word processing packages in Microsoft Office Suite environment; compiles data and prepare reports.
  • Exercises good judgement in handling materials of a confidential or sensitive nature.
  • Acts as a link between AVP, TJX "U" Coaches, Merchants, staff, internal departments, outside agencies, and the public.

What you'll need
To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional administrative work experience within the retail industry; previous experience supporting training and development within a merchandise planning, allocation or merchant operations environment is considered a strong asset.
  • Administrative expertise including reporting, spreadsheet content management, photocopying, filing, mail distribution, scheduling appointments, arranging travel, expense management, maintaining room bookings, managing equipment (e.g. department Tablets).
  • Experienced with Outlook 365, Microsoft Office suite of applications including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; experience utilizing Access, Power Bi or Power Apps is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills including written (interoffice memos, reports, vendor letters, etc.) and verbal (telephone, video conference).
  • Highly skilled in time management; able to work effectively with minimal supervision, multi-task and shift priorities to reflect urgency of business requirements.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality of the organization's operations, procedures and people.

Salary Range: $42,330 - $59,160 /year

This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
