Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an individual with a strong work ethic and ambition to join our team as the Vice President of Medical Science & Strategy for Cardiovascular therapeutic area. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead and contribute to our world-class research efforts in the cardiovascular diseases field. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in driving strategic and measurable business outcomes, ensuring our continued growth and industry-leading position.
A day in the Life:
- Develop and implement strategies for significant requests for proposals (RFPs), including regulatory issues, drug class considerations, and protocol development
- Engage with clients' senior medical and scientific leadership to address their therapeutic requirements
- Support other areas of the company's business activities, such as pro-active client engagement, strategic alliance development, and client governance
- Provide therapeutic and developmental expertise to internal teams, including clinical trainings, guidance during clinical trials, and authoring of regulatory documents
- Contribute to innovative initiatives based on your specific knowledge and expertise
Education and Experience
- Certified medical doctor with at least 10 years of experience in cardiovascular clinical development within the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
