Position Summary岗位概要:
The VAVE Mechanical engineer will work cross-functionally in supporting Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) programs including lab equipment system cost reduction, quality-based product enhancement for existing commercialized products and production line transfer.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities基本工作职能及责任:
Lead and take responsibility of design optimization of VAVE projects and manage the update of mechanical system and/or sub-system designs to improve quality and cost. Design and detail mechanical components and sub-systems according specification, including conducting predictive analysis and calculations. Select materials (metal and plastics) and processes appropriate for those designs with should cost benchmarks. Detail 3D and 2D files incorporating Design for (mass) Manufacturing and Design for Assembly requirements. Successfully interact with key group members in mechanical engineering, machining is preferred. Technical support to sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and other cross function departments. Conduct supplier manufacture process review and ensure adequacy of supplier part qualification. Lead ideations sessions, drive concept creation and decision making with proven prototype building Active participation in multidisciplinary teams through all phases of the supplier transfer process.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably MS in Electromechanical integration or mechanical engineering.
- Manufacturing engineer 5+ years and design engineer experience is nice to have. Scientific instruments industry. Multi-national factory working experience (>5 years).
- Proficient in SolidWorks / AutoCAD to design with feasible and reasonable tolerance knowledge. Familiar with various materials manufacturing processes, treatment processes for specific application. Familiar with mechanical transmission and precision positioning.
- Familiar pneumatic and hydraulic control system or parts, and motor.
- Experience in machining process analysis and design.
- Experience in automation design and implementation.
- Ability to work within a cross functional organization with good communication skills.
- Must be open-minded to assure best design is chosen
- Fluent English in both oral and writing communication.
