Location/Division Specific Information

Position will report to Tewksbury, MA, and support the CAD Division. The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) offers a diverse array of analytical instruments and services to various end-user markets, including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing, and Recycling. Our instruments excel in challenging environments, providing robustness, reliability, and ease of use, allowing customers to make timely decisions and optimize their operations. CAD's global footprint and intricate product portfolio make it a dynamic and exciting division to be part of.

Discover Impactful Work

The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of production processes, including calibration, final packaging, and shipping. This role involves material processing for the Dosimetry Lab, encompassing calibration, labeling, and packaging. The individual will identify process bottlenecks and collaborate with management, participating in PPI activities to drive improvements.

A day in the Life:

  • Train and strictly follow all safety and cGMP requirements
  • Adhere to work instruction documentation, SOPs, and standard works
  • Verify products using specific instructions, blueprints, and drawings
  • Operate Calibrator to ensure flawless product calibration
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in Production Control Documents
  • Inspect in-process and finished products
  • Achieve or surpass goals
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Quality, and operational teams to ensure smooth operations and customer happiness.
  • Participate in PPI, Lean, and Continuous Improvement activities, including 5S
  • Share practical process improvement ideas to improve quality, customer dedication, and efficiency
  • Adhere to daily schedules

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Degree, certification, or equivalent work experience in a technical field

Experience

  • Required: 1+ year experience in manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related regulated field.
  • Preferred: Experience with cGMP practices or Laboratory
  • Preferred: Knowledge of order fulfillment to specific customer configurations
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • High proficiency in e-communication
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships
  • Effective interpersonal skills to encourage positive change
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and e-mail
  • Confidence in using computers to log, analyze, and manipulate data
  • Experience with automated or robotic manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to use software systems similar to small screen, I-phone/Android operating systems
  • Ability to learn and master new technical concepts
  • Self-motivated with a "do what it takes" attitude to overcome obstacles and ensure team success
